Term CAM responds to acronym of computer-aided manufacturing, and describes the processes of physical production of the design towards the manufacture by means of the exact reproduction from computerized systems of numerical control.
The main advantage of this system is that it responds faithfully to the designs realised from system CAM.
The extended technological uses more of the DMLS can be the one of the fast tools, applications of high performance against the heat, aerospace design, or pieces of the medical scope and more concretely dental, as I sweep, crowns, bridges, hybrids, implantología, pillars, ataches, pieces to size, etc.
The main matter to generate the pieces is a ferrous metal dust as they can be alloys of steel, stainless steel…, or nonferrous metals, like aluminum, bronze, titanium or Chromium-Cobalt in the case of the dental sintering.
After numerous precise movements of the sinterizer machine, the particles of around 20 microns of diameter are knit to layer to layer by means of a ray emitter laser, obeying to the model 3D that previously has been sent to the machine, obtaining a highest degree of fidelity to the model, as well as of quality in the obtained material.
