Term CAD responds to acronym of computer-aided design and describes the processes of modeled design and by means of the use of computer science tools.

The design attended by computer (CAD) begins at the moment into which the physical model to its numerical correspondence is transformed, by means of a three-dimensional scanner and a specific software, being able to work from that moment with an 3D image to generate the dental pieces to make.

After the phase of design of the model to obtain, software will generate a file of extension .STL in our case, with the data of the piece to make.

This file is sent to the machine of sinterized, that after highly precise a technological process, faithfully obtains the Cr-Co piece that has been modeled in the phase of design.

During this process the protésico can design in digital surroundings forms, sizes, adjustments, edges, etc. without needing physically producing it.
